Bodegas Emilio Moro presents new vintages of two of the three whites it makes in El Bierzo, the youngest version, Polvorete; and the award-winning El Zarzal. Two wines that are part of the Ribera del Duero winery’s expansion project, which will come to fruition in the spring with the inauguration of its own winery.

Polvorete 2022 is the youngest, most rebellious and fun version of the Godello wines produced by the Valladolid winery in El Bierzo. The bouquet has aromas of white fruits characteristic of the variety, with light citrus notes that add freshness. Despite its youth, nuances of ageing on lees can be appreciated. On the palate it is a wine of great balance between acidity and body, it is easy to drink and has a pleasant and refreshing finish.
El Zarzal 2021 is a white wine made from 100% Godello grapes fermented in French oak foudre with a dazzling straw-yellow colour. The bouquet stands out for its expressiveness and complexity, characteristics that give it personality. Notes of white fruit, nuanced by time and oak ageing, are clearly discernible. These aromas are joined by hints of aniseed, dried flowers and a minerality typical of great vintages. When you taste it, you can perceive the integration of the natural acidity of the grapes used to make it with the richness provided by the lees, resulting in a harmonious wine with an easy passage and a very pleasant finish.
Emilio Moro 2020 is the alma mater of Bodegas Emilio Moro. It bears the name of its creator and is a Ribera del Duero wine made with the Tempranillo variety that represents tradition and character. Deep garnet red in colour, with a serious and elegant bouquet. The evolution in the glass translates into an increase in intensity and aromatic complexity where the fruit continues to be the backbone of the nose of the wine. On the palate it has a well-structured body with ripe, silky tannins, easy to drink and a persistent aftertaste.
